Dexta – Goomba Riddim/Vintage [none60]

Dexta’s return to none60 features two tracks which share a tempo but little else.

Two slices of half-time make up the producer’s third release on the label, and you can think of them as light and shade. ‘Goomba Riddim’ is all groove and spacey bass, while ‘Vintage’ is a taught, claustrophobic menace which should really be kept on a leash at all times.

Riot – Destroyer EP [Skalator Music]

Skalator Music returns to the game with a strong dose of Portuguese power in the form of Riot’s Destroyer EP.

The producer started out as a drummer before going for total electronic music immersion and, among other things, founding Lisbon’s drum & bass / jungle collective Cooltrain Crew.

The Destroyer EP, his first on his country’s Skalator Music label, condenses his considerable experience into four weighty tracks shot through with groove and percussion straight out of Amadora.

Seba & Jr Vallo – Minus 15 [Secret Operations]

Seba is back with more inch-perfect drum & bass, and is joined on production by new Swedish talent.

Jr Vallo – plumping for drum & bass not his earlier hip-hop sound – is behind the controls along with the Secret Operations boss, and between them the pair have come up with a truly atmospheric couple of tracks.

‘-15’ is the soundtrack to an icy Swedish winter (which is exactly where it was created), and ‘Bon Voyage’ came from a deeply Kraftwerk-inspired studio session.

The record is out now on Secret Operations. Listen here, head to to buy.

Free Download – Kachina – Don’t Lie

Kachina have unleashed a fierce free download ahead of releasing their eighth EP early next month.

The powerful ‘Don’t Lie’ explodes with the UK trio’s high-energy brew of house, UKG and dance music and its driving bassline is a promise of what is to come on the forthcoming Love Hz EP, which will be out on Affectionate Grooves in early August.

Logics – Knock Knock EP [Delta9 Recordings]

On the back of a hat-trick of heavy tracks on flagship compilation records, Delta9 Recordings have handed Logics his first EP on their imprint.

The From The Streets series saw the European label shine the limelight into all corners of the scene, and Croatian producer Logics cast a long shadow.

Now he’s back with a towering three-track EP, featuring two watertight cuts of technical half-time, and a full-throttle roller with previous collaborator Kodin sharing production duties.

The EP is out on July 14th, pre-order here and listen below.
